Alt name: Sentclair; George is shown in the Cass County Draft Registration rolls in 1863 as a 26-year-old resident of Arenzville township with prior service in the 1st MO Cav. Pension documents show service in two additional units. 1865 census records show a George Sinclair living near Meredosia. Perrin’s history states he was the son of Samuel and Euphemia Sinclair who lived in the Ashland precinct. His military record claims he was born in Morgan County (evidence suggests that the family lived near the county line in “Sinclair” (township) of Morgan County. Perrin’s history also states that he was one of three brothers (sons of Samuel) to serve in the Civil War.
