Alt name: “Sayler.” Also remembered as Jobe Saylor. He is shown on the muster rolls of Co A, 14th IL Inf, residence Beardstown. He was on the rolls for about three weeks. A commenter on his Find-a-Grave listing incorrectly associates him with Jacob Sailor, a member of the 82nd IL Inf, but they are not the same individual. (Jacob Sailor was from St. Louis).
