The Peter Brim who enlisted in 1862 was son of Nancy (Carter) and Elisha Brim, born in IL. He served in the 115th IL Inf. (Do not confuse him with a man of the same name who served in 10th IL Cav.) The 1929 Roll of Honor for Illinois shows Peter’s brother, Curtiss Brim, d. 1874, served in Co I, 115th IL Inf., but his name does not appear on the rolls of that unit.)
